Kristi & Rick Calawa

Kristi Calawa
joined the Viva Bolivia Board in 2003 and serves as the Treasurer.
She graduated with a BA in Business Administration from the
University of Washington in 1992. After graduation she joined a
Youth With A Mission
(YWAM) team and served in Tonga and Samoa for six months. After
returning to the US she took a position with the Shoreline School
District Accounting Department where she served for seven years.
Today, she devotes her full attention to raising her family. |
| Nikki (Veronica) Cliffe
joined the Viva Bolivia Board in December of 2004 and serves as our
Secretary. She is no stranger to cross-cultural work. Her adoptive parents worked in Mexico and her husband's parents currently
serve as missionaries in Ecuador. Nikki is a graduate of LeTourneau
University's Aviation Program (class of 2000) and is a licensed
pilot and A&P mechanic. She was employed as a flight instructor
before semi-retiring in order to devote her full attention to
raising her family. |

Carrie & Mike Rice

Michael Rice joined the Viva
Bolivia Board in 2003 and serves as the Vice President. He is
a commercial real estate appraiser, specializing in multifamily and
affordable housing projects and in low-income housing tax credits.
He earned a BA in Literature from Central Washington University in
1995. Mike lives in the Seattle area with his wife, Carrie,
a former MK (missionary kid) and their son, Derek. |
| Jonathan and Karin
Schoenhals founded Viva Bolivia in 2002 as a ministry of First Free Methodist Church in Seattle, Washington. In 2003,
Viva Bolivia was incorporated as a Washington State Nonprofit
Organization and in 2004 Viva Bolivia received it's 501(c)(3)
designation as a publicly supported charity from the IRS. Jonathan
earned a BS in Missionary Aviation from Moody Bible Institute and an
MBA from the University of Washington. Karin earned a BA in Teaching English as a Second Language
from the University of Washington, and received her Teaching
Certificate through the UW's Teacher Education Program. Together
they serve as volunteer representatives for Viva Bolivia based
in Lynnwood, Washington. Jonathan serves as
the board President. |

Sara & Nate Wetzel

Nate Wetzel joined the Viva Bolivia
Board in 2003. He graduated from Seattle Pacific University with a
degree in Electrical Engineering in 1999. Today he is employed as an
embedded software engineer designing handheld electrical tools
for the Fluke Corporation. Besides working with Viva Bolivia, Nate
has also served on a short-term team to Guatemala with the
Agros Foundation,
where he worked with their community development projects. |
