Introduction:

The Mano a Mano flight program flies medical and other humanitarian aid missions in Bolivia. However, when the schedule is open you too can book a flight nearly anywhere in Bolivia. For more information, see the contact information below.

History:

The flight as program was started more than 25 years ago by Eugenio Arvidsson. At that time the program primarily flew missionaries to and from remote locations throughout Bolivia. In 2004 the program was purchased from the Swedish Free Mission by Mano a Mano.

Today, Eugenio, Vegar and Jose Luis make up the flight department for Mano a Mano.  They provide flights to all parts of Bolivia, but especially those parts that are a bit more challenging to reach. Over the years passengers have included: aid workers, medical patients, doctors, government officials, missionaries, pastors, entrepreneurs and tourists.

One of the outstanding features of this flight program is that it is self-sustaining. The two pilots (Eugenio and Vegar) are missionaries supported by individuals and churches in Sweden and Norway. However, all the other costs (fuel, parts, maintenance, etc.) are covered by the operation of the program.

Viva Bolivia assists the aviation program by occasionally helping with special maintenance projects and parts procurement. We also provide some consulting services as they make decisions about their work in Bolivia.

The Children of Arampampa:
The following pictures were taken on a flight to the remote village of Arampampa. The family donating the toys did it as a way of thanking God for their young daughter's life. She was very ill and received a needed surgery, which restored her to health. This day was her birthday and her family was celebrating by giving toys to the children in this village. What a wonderful way to thank God for His blessings! (The birthday girl is in red and can be seen with her mother in the center of the second photo from the right in the second row.)
